Great to have you here Saint! Be sure to create some albums for both your cars. How did you come to buy an Alpina? Were you just browsing the Japan auctions or did you seek one out?

thanks stirling . my son had bought 5 cars from ibc japan and his first was a 89 e30 mtech and i was amazed at how clean it was so i always kept it in mind to buy something someday . i had my 1997 m3 that i had put alot of work into but i had wanted a euro m3 so i really started following the auctions more closely and i saw an alpina b3 and i did some research and decided i wanted it over the euro m3 . i bought it last spring and have really enjoyed the car but then i saw the b8 . i wanted it very badly but there was only a day to bid so i didnt bother but then it didnt sell and came up again so i gave into temptation and bought it .

as good a condition my b3 is in my b8 is near perfect and im really looking forward to a great summer with it .

here are a few pics that will give u an idea of its condition

I've watched for M-techs on and off for years and have watched the prices gently drift skyward... was your son's a 5 speed? Lots of autoboxes in Japan.

Did you ever connect with the other Alpina owner in Regina? (b10 Biturbo)
