Welcome to the club and good to see a local Alpina owner.
There are quite alot of Alpinas here in Vancouver. I personally know of 3 other B10 Biturbos plus I see several B10 3.5s running around town. Yours is the first B8 I've seen here. I'm a member of the BMW CCBC and there is typically a few Alpinas that show up at the car shows and events. I try and organize a few GTGs with the E34 Biturbos now and then, perhaps you can come out too. If you want advice on local repair shops, etc. let me know. Cheers, Sean
