1983? According to Alpina Archive production from Buchloe started in 1984.

Maybe it's an earlier one with the Alpina kit added afterwards? What build number is it? Or if you are willing to post the VIN that could help people check into it a bit more for you.

its a puzzle right?, it wasn´t added on later, since the original sales invoice already sold a BMW Alpina C1 2.3, with all the options it has, I was just NOT sold directly by Alpina , it was sold by a dealer .

but who knows right?

the vin number is
WBAAH3109C8404978

it will return a chasis e21, manual transmision, but not more , I´ve tried other bmw i have, and they return a lot of data

good luck and thanks for the help

Wait, is your car an E30 or an E21?

That's not an Alpina VIN. I don't know if it was from the very beginning, but generally, all Alpina VIN's start with WAP and the one you've provided is WBA.

Wouldn't happen to be this one, would it? Some good conversation in the comments and ultimately believed to be non-Alpina.
