1983? According to Alpina Archive production from Buchloe started in 1984.
http://www.alpina-archive.com/?page_id=48 Maybe it's an earlier one with the Alpina kit added afterwards? What build number is it? Or if you are willing to post the VIN that could help people check into it a bit more for you.
