Default 1 Series coupe

Has anyone here driven the 1 Series coupe, in either 128i or 135i version? I'm reading such good things about it. Is it the closest to an E30 we've been in years?

I had a 1 series M Coupe which I drove for the last year and a half. It is the quickest daily car I have drive, but due to a couple of reasons I just sold it. I personally think it is a great size and nimble car.
