Oil filter for E36 B3 3.0?

Can anyone recommend oil filter type and model, and best oil to use? Thanks.

Did you figure this out? You're probably best to go with Mahle or Mann filters. I believe they are OEM suppliers or equivalent. Is there no sticker anywhere in the engine bay that has the suggested oil? I had a sticker that was for Castrol TWS 10w60 which is the same as what is recommended for M-cars. I'm not sure if the B3 is the same, but its likely either that or the Castrol for European cars. I can't remember if that's a 0w40 or something like that. I guess I could look it up, but I'm too lazy right now :)
