Timing isn't quite right otherwise I'd throw a bid down on this...wait a second...it says it's up for auction on August 20..??? I've never seen a car show up so far ahead of it's auction date. I'd think it'll go for big money with that much advance notice. That said, if someone buys my AMG E50 before then I'll put a bid in :D

Oh man, a manual B8 sedan in black with cloth seats, that is a beautiful car to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but #002 would have been the first B8 delivered to a customer, since 001 was a development car?

Maybe we should pool our money and time share? :D

how did #2 end up in jap country? i find that hard to believe.
sometimes they get seperate numbering (see UK for instance).
surely a nice example E36 made by ALPINA.

All five went to Japan.

Yep looks like a beauty! Original km, all manuals and full maintenance records. Negative: ceiling cloth loose, seats and steering wheel worn, drivers seat soft/small cut, paint cracked on rear spoiler, door mirrors scratched, couple small scratches and dents as on diagram, one rust spot front left panel, small chip on windshield. Any guesses on what it'll go for?

Its gotta be over 1.3 million Yen, maybe 1.5.

Was the auction today (yesterday Japan-time)? Did it sell?

Very much to my surprise I can actually see the sold price! :D I thought it would sell under negotiation for sure.

Sold for just under 1.1 million JPY. I expected it to be more like 1.5, so that's a good deal IMO.

Oh wow that IS a good deal. I wonder if it's coming to Canada too.

Ugh, I wish I hadn't asked now. :D That is a really great deal.

This is up at auction again. I wonder if it has some issues or if someone is trying to make some money on it...

I haven't been able to find it. What night is it going through? Do you know which auction location?

USS Nagoya. So I believe that's tonight.

Someone is greedy...over 1.7 million JPY and it didn't sell.

Anyone else notice BMW M cars and Alpinas have had much higher prices lately at auctions in Japan?

Stirling

Yes, I think old German prices have been rising across the board.

A 2002 Turbo went for over 5,000,000 earlier this week. And E30 M3 prices have followed the global trend skyward. Even 8 series prices seem to be levitating.

I recently got a fair deal on a 1997 L7, but still more than I would have expected to pay a year ago.

I saw that 2002. The price was insane. I expect high prices for the E30 M3's though. They've been high for a while and that one this week was clean with low kms.

I'm sort of looking for a euro spec 3.0 E36 M3 and prices have been around 500-600k JPY, but I saw one go for over a million this week and it wasn't even in that great of condition. Maybe it was just something weird with that auction though.

You have an L7? That's awesome! I love the L7. Did it come from Japan?

Yes, from Japan. Hasn't arrived yet though.

Sweet! I am very much looking forward to seeing this! I dont think I could ever convince the wife that getting one is a good idea. A regular 7 Series barely fits in my garage.
