Which do you think is the Rodney Dangerfield of Alpina models - the car that gets the least respect, but should get more?

My feeling is the E32 models. Possibly because the BMW versions don't get much respect either. The prices are in the basement, the reliability reputation of the 12 cylinder is abysmal. I think that has carried over to the B11 and B12. And I suspect they represent a real bargain at current levels.

I agree with you in regards to the fact that E32 B11s and B12s are under appreciated that is for sure and as you said because the 750 was a failure and the 735 was under power and 740s didn’t really picked up. So leave the gap wide open for Alpina to create B11 and B12 models. The production numbers for B11/3.5 totaled at 332, B11/4.0 at 7, B12/5.0 at 305, in comparison to B10 BiTurbo at 507, B10/3.5 at 572, B10/4.0 at 49, B10/4.6 at 46
Obviously the total production of B11 and B12 combined are just slightly above B10/3.5 never minded if we add all the B10’s production models.
I believe you will only buy a E32 B11 or B12 if your are a kind of person regardless of what other Alpina models that you like deep down have a especial and a soft spot for 7 series, but as soon as you take one for drive (B11/3.5) you will quickly find out that you really driving a wolf in a sheep skin.
I believe there are only 4 B11/3.5 in Canada and non in US (as far as I know).
