Which model is the most desired, most sought after, most legendary Alpina?

In other words, 30 to 50 years from now which Alpina will have appreciated the most in value? Or is appreciated value even a valid way to measured "legendariness"?

I don't know how you define "sought" - usually it will be mesured by price. So e.g. a rate for price now/price then would be a base to calculate this.

If the value would be above 1 then it would be a desired one ... so an RLE for example, or A B12 5.7 Coupe, a B6 3.5S etc.

Well, I like all kinds of Alpina range of models such as:

e3 Alpina road and track models, the legendary Alpina
2002 Alpina A4
e30 B6
e30 B6S
e28 B10
e28 B7Turbo
e34 B 10 3.5
e34 B10 BiTurbo
e32 B11 3.5
e36 B8
e39 B5
e38 B12

Above list is my favorite Alpina cars, but I must admit that I like all the models because of their uniqueness.

I only want one. Alpina B8 4.6. Why? B8 is the first Alpina that I saw in my life and where I am, unfortunately, just sitting. It was during my visit to a Alpina factory. Convertible in the picture is the last production line and is the founder factory Burkard Bovensiepen of the private car.

The B8 4.6 is a killer machine, however I'm not a big fan of the verts because they tend to twist like a pretzel when running them in the twisties. Push them hard and you will pop the windshield right out of the frame.

It would be interesting to know what Alpina did to improve or deal with chassis flex from the stock vert platform.
